X-Loupe Taiwan has just informed us about their new amazing product which might fire-up everyone’s interest, a X-Loupe Microscope Digital Camera kit. Photographer, any photographers here? The Microscope Digital Camera kit is available in three different models: the X-Loupe i6 Starter, X-Loupe i6 Pro and X-Loupe i6 FieldKit. From the high performance aberration-corrected aspherical lens, you know this add-on device is not a toy for the kids. The lens’s material is made from Schott no-lead optical grade glass in Germany and it has a multi-layer anti-reflection coating which avoids failed shots. What I mean is a perfect shot! There is only one lens available for the i6 Starter kit, three for the i6 Pro kit and for the i6 Field Kit, you can get as many lenses as you want but it won't be cheap for sure. The high-end microscope kit does not have any digital zoom or optical zoom but it has a magnifying capability. The X-Loupe i6 Starter microscope kit can magnifiy up to 60X with a field view of 16mm x 12mm and has a resolution of 57 lp/mm while the i6 Pro can magnifying up to 100X and 150X which will cover 9mm x 6.5mm and 5.7 x 4.5 field of view with resolutions of 101 lp/mm followed by 203 lp/mm. Well, i6 FieldKit being left behind again, the magnification capability depends on the user's request. With the help of 4 built-in white LED light which can stand up to 10,000 hours of life cycle taking pictures in a dark environment won't be an obstacle for this X-Loupe kit. For your information, X-Loupe Microscope Kit comes with four choices of digital cameras: Canon Powershot SD450; Canon Powershot SD600; Canon Powershot SD630 or Canon Powershot SD430. The microscope kit comes with a Li-ion rechargeable battery which could last up to 5 hours of usage. It weighs only 150 grams (without digital camera) with the size of 92 x 58.5 x 62mm. We are not sure about the pricing and the availability yet, but they said they will ship to USA and other western countries.
