Wrapping Up 2005
We would like to wish all our readers a
very Happy New Year, we hope you have found our articles about cool
mobile electronic gadgets useful.
2005 was once again the year of the mobile phone, it was the year in which a small company called Firefly broke into a market that major phone manufacturers couldn't reach, the previously unexplored market mobile phone trotting kids. The Firefly phone is a simple phone that has great features for the kids and important control features for parents.
It was also the year of a resurgence of the stand alone MP3 Player, the Mobiblu Dah-1500i became the world's small MP3 player and yes of course Apple came out with several new iPods including their smash hit product the iPod Nano, which blew everyone away.
It was also the year of innovative GPS and satellite products, Sirius
had a minor hit with the Sirius
S50 satellite radio and there was an explosion of gps
devices to come onto the market.
It was a year of restructuring for Digital Camera & Camcorder companies, as they dealt with the camera phone explosion and
concentrated their efforts on making more sophisticated and higher end
DSLR digital cameras.
It was a year where Laptops became bigger, better and fastest and started to replace Desktops as the main computer system in the office and household.
It was the year the ebook officially died and the tablet pc struggled to catch everyone's attention.
And finally as mentioned, overall it was the year of the Cell phone, one day one phone company will get it totally right and have GPS, Satellite, Mp3, Video, Internet, Camera, Camcorder, Xbox and many other things all in one phone and when that will happen it will change the way everyone lives forever.
