FlashMic_2.jpgHHB has developed what it claims is the world's first digital recording microphone, the FlashMic which combines a high quality microphone capsule with an integrated 1GB Flash recorder built into the microphone body. All the recordings can be transfer to a computer via the FlashMic USB interface. Weighing in at just 366g (excluding batteries) and powered for more than 8 hours by a pair of conventional AA batteries, the FlashMic is ready to record ‘straight from the box’, or can be pre-configured for more sophisticated operation and file naming protocols using the FlashMic Manager software included. A range of standard accessories is complemented by an optional desk stand and windshield, equipping the journalist, interviewer or podcaster for almost any situation. No words on the pricing and availability yet.
