Volkswagen Iroc Sports Car Concept

At a special event held last night at Berlin, Volkswagen presented their new version of the Iroc sports car concept, an evolution from the previous Scirocco sports coupe of the 70's. Under the “roof†there is TSI technology - a direction injection petrol engine dual-charged with a supercharger and turbocharger - which is suppose to lower the consumption levels to diesel levels and still maintain the good performance. By trying to please everyone Volkswagen decides to give plenty of options on the engine model, if you want the better there is a 210 bhp TSI engine, otherwise there are less expensive alternatives with engines under 150 bhp also available. There is no doubt that the look, design, feel, and sexiness of the Volkswagen Iroc turns me on, but that is another story...
From an outside point of view, the greenish colors looks good and so does the 19†bling-bling alloy wheels. When comparing dimensions between the Golf and the Iroc, the last one is longer and wider by a few millimeters, the Iroc measures 4,2m long x 1,9m wide. The non-existence of A-Pillars atracts some attention, and so does the connection to the VW GTI - this can be verified when looking from the front to the shape structure of the radioator grille.
On the inside we have instruments with new shapes, the rounded controls seem to be the new thing on the block, on the other hand the blue colour on controls is something that can be seen on other VW models. With 4 seats and 300 litres of capacity on the boot, this number can be improved by folding the two rear seats.
Conclusion: I want one of those when they come out.
