Qtek8500.jpgVodafone introduces a Quad band device, working on 850/900/1800/1900 MHz business clamshell mobile phone, the Qtek 8500 which runs on Windows Mobile 5.0 platform. It sports an internal LCD with 240 x 320 pixels plus an external LCD to present instant information, 64MB of flash memory and 64MB RAM with microSD card slot for extra storage. Besides from all this, it also has a built-in 1.3 megapixel digital camera capability. The good thing about this phone is it supports the Direct Push service based on the combination of Windows Mobile 5.0 MSFP and Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 2. This features provides instant e-mail synchronization through the cellular network, including calendar, contacts and tasks. With the Windows platform on it, there is of course some Windows main applications such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint. You can even transfer the file to your PC via the USB connection or Bluetooth wireless features. Qtek 8500 weights 99 grams and 16 millimeters thick. No words on the pricing yet.
