Orb Networks today announced a new software for free voice messaging over the Internet, called V4S. V4S allows you to send voice messages to any email or Skype contact.

With V4S, to send a message, all you need is a web browser or Skype account. The messages can then be played back on any portable device with a streaming audio player, including mobile phones. Pretty cool, eh? Sure, as long as your carrier does not rip you off. The service also sends email and SMS alerts to the recipient when a voice message is sent, so they can get it wherever they are.
