The UTStarcom F3000 is the latest WiFi handset on the block which takes off where the critically acclaimed F1000 handset left off. The launching of the new handset makes sense as the last couple of years have seen a tremendous growth in Wi-Fi hotspots and wireless routers. Thanks to the new handset one can take full advantage of VoIP services without being chained to their personal computers.

The UTStarcom F3000 will also appeal to the public thanks to its chic clamshell design and it dimensions like 85 x 43 x 22mm. It’s equipped with a full-color, 1.8” (45.7mm) LCD screen and is both a cellular handset and a wi-fi handset. Protocols like SIP, SDP, RTP/RTCP and RFC 2833/inband DTMF are supported by the handset and it operates on WiFi 802.11b/g 2.4GHz, WEP64/128 and WPA.

Other features found on the handset include; polyphonic ringtones, text messaging capability and talk-time of up to three hours , stand-by time of approximately 75 hours user interface languages, including English, French, Spanish and Chinese, PSTN features, like call waiting and three-way calling. Another nifty feature found on the handset is the Auto-Search capability which lets one locate WiFi networks within range and store these profiles for later use. The entry level UTStarcom CDM7025 mobile handset is now available to all the Cricket customers via Cricket retail stores and Cricket dealers. The mobile phone sports a clamshell design and will appeal to those who want a handset without all the frills and even first time users. The handset is equipped with a 1.5" 65K color main display on which image formats like BMP, GIF, JPEG and PNG can be easily viewed.

When it comes to audio formats, the CDM7025 supports CELP, EVRC, MIDI and
MP3. It measures 3.5" (h) x 1.9" (w) x 0.8" (d), and weighs 3.2 ounces. The handset includes a retractable antenna, which is able to boost up signal where the coverage is weak and is also Travel Time(TM) roaming capable. TELUS Mobility and UTStarcom Personal Communications Division today announced the UTStarcom 860, an affordable and stylish wireless phone exclusively available in North America from TELUS Mobility.

UTStarcom Personal Communications today announced its first wireless handset for WCDMA/GSM/GPRS networks, the UTStarcom (Audiovox) GW200. The 3G-enabled UTStarcom GW200 combines innovation and practicality in a truly global phone that provides wireless voice and data communications capabilities anywhere around the world where WCDMA wireless networks are operational.

The UTStarcom GW200 is a dual-mode WCDMA/GPRS/GSM handset that operates on WCDMA, or Wideband Code Division Multiple Access networks, the main technology for 3G wireless systems globally. With the WAP-2.0-enabled Audiovox GW200 on a WCDMA network, consumers will have swift access to data, web browsing, streaming video and other over-the-air downloads. The GSM mode offers tri-band operation: 900/1800/1900 MHz.
