UIP 1869V.jpgVonage and Uniden today unveiled the UIP 1869V, a broadband cordless phone which offers full featured VoIP phone service through broadband connection for a flat-rate fee. Uniden UIP 1869V operates on the 5.8GHz band and supports upto 10 cordless handsets. The VoIP phone uses Texas Instruments' TNETV1060 chipset which provides crystal clear voice quality. As the Uniden phone has built-in routing capabilities, there is no need to buy a separate router to integrate the phone into your broadband connection. The basic phone comes with an accessory handset and a speakerphone on the base which is compatible with a variety of Uniden handsets. The UIP 1869V costs $189.99 and a mail-in rebate of $50 is offered after sixty days of usage. More details at Vonage website.
