TTM 57SL Mixer with Scratch Live
Reporting live, after moments ago attending the Summer Music Conference , here in SF, and I wanted to pass on information about a beautiful piece of equipment, I was able to lay my hands on. Anyone in the music industry is aware of Rane giants, mostly known for their incredible mixers; and should definitely get their hands on Rane/Seratos’s Scratch Live with the TTM 57SL Mixer. This is the ultimate hard/soft ware for the new millennium musician, producer, or DJ.
Forget about carrying around all that heavy vinyl, as music played can be right off your laptop hard drive,
in mp3 format, yet tracks can be fondled and scratched with real vinyl control LPs, that are synced to any of the tracks played. The included 12" vinyl records each have an exclusive and unique control signal which allows Scratch LIVE to track the motion of the record, simulating the same movement with digital audio. Due to Serato's proprietary control scheme, the result is a feel and sound indistinguishable from playing vinyl.
The Scratch Live interface connects one or two standard vinyl or CD turntables to your computer. This, high quality USB features two switch able phono or line inputs, a microphone input, two line outputs, and pass thru outputs for the phono/line and mic.
Minimum operating system requirements are either a 800 MHz Mac G4 with OSX 10.3, or a 1GHz PC running Windows XP with Service Pack 2, either with 512M of ram or more.
The TTM 57SL integrates mixer hardware, software and software controls in one powerful package by combining all the performance and features of the Rane TTM 56 with Serato Scratch LIVE software. Included are internal effects with six stereo insert points.
