Transcend Information, Inc. is out on a mission: to make you the next "American Idol," with it's new T.sonic™ 520 Flash MP3 Player. "An MP3 Player for the talented masses," is what Transcend claims about the T.Sonic. So, what's all this about?
The highlight of the T.Sonic 520 is it's karaoke-type feature that encourages you to sing-along by displaying the lyrics of the song that you are listening to. To do this, you would have to be stationary though. Because, how you would read the on-screen lyrics and be mobile at the same time (touted as another plus of the product) is not made clear. It's a feature that the "talented masses" can live without.
The player supports MP3, WMA, and WAV file formats. It comes with an FM Radio, a Digital Voice Recorder, and a Line-In Function (to record directly from a CD player) - like every other player in the market. It's compact (74mm x 30mm x 18.5mm), light weight (28g minus the battery), powered by one AAA battery, USB 2.0 compliant, and supports some sound effects.
There are two models in this line-up. The TS512MMP520 has a 512MB capacity, is red colored, and costs $87.00 (untaxed), whereas the TS1GMP520 has a 1GB capacity, is grey colored, and costs $117 (untaxed). You can order it now on the product's website.
