Are you one of those waiting around for the upcoming Treo 700w? Well the folks at the Treonauts have managed to scrounge one up and have some detailed information in a review of the handheld here.

Of particular interest are the snapshots found in the article. The Today screen that is typical of all Windows Mobile devices looks particularly colorful on the Treo 700w (although some would say it looks cluttered). There are several usability enhancements on the Today screen such as thumbnail pictures of contacts, search bar to perform searches on the net - especially in conjunction with the high speed network of Verizon Wireless.

In other news, The Treo 700w's release date is rumored to be January 5th. If so, this would pretty much coincide with the CES event in Vegas - not surprising. Stay tuned for a review of the Treo 700w. Hopefully Palm will send us a unit. If not, heck, I'm going out and getting one for myself!
