A quick official announcement from Sprint confirms that they will be carrying the Treo 700wx for their customers. It was earlier reported that the Treo 700wx would be announced by Sprint somewhere in the last week of August, but I guess it was delayed by a week.

Just in case you forgot the phone specifications (hey, it can happen - especially if you are in the habit of reading gadget blogs daily): it runs on an Intel XScale 312MHz processor powered by Windows Mobile 5.0. With 128MB NVRAM, the 700wx features an SDIO slot for expanding on the available memory.

Compatible with dual-band EV-DO, the Treo 700wx features a large 240x240 pixel touchscreen LCD and full-fledged QWERTY keyboard. Bluetooth, Infrared and a 1.3 megapixel camera complete the package.
