    Transcend Announces New 8GB JetFlash DriveTranscend unveiled a mammoth 8GB USB flash drive in the popular JetFlash line of storage devices. Compatible with USB 2.0 specifications, the new JetFlash 2A 8GB flash drive boasts impressive read (max 21MB/sec) and write (max 11MB/sec) speeds, along with an LED display to show the data transfer operation.

    Other neat features include:

  • PC lock function: allows you to use the JetFlash drive as a key to access your PC (Windows only)
  • Boot-up function: allows you to boot the PC off the JetFlash drive
  • Partition and Security function: create private portions, secured by passwords
  • No additional battery: sucks juice out of your PC's USB port

    It's a bit pricey, though: at upwards of US $600, the JetFlash 2A 8GB flash drive can be purchased from Transcend's online store.
