The company has just unveiled its ultra portable 12.1-inch Toshiba Tecra M6 which may be lightweight and small but when it comes to performance and functionality, Toshiba promises a heavyweight champion. The notebook packs quite a punch and one can power it with either a Celeron, or a Duo Core processor according to one’s need. This 4.1 lbs notebook can be taken anywhere anytime and is ideal for both professional and personal usage.

The Toshiba M6-ST3412 has dimensions like 11.8” (299.0mm) x 8.86” (225.0mm) x 1.34” (34.0mm) and has battery life of five hours. This one too features the Toshiba exclusive EasyGuard™ Technology which includes features like, Shock Absorbing Design, HDD Protection, and a Spill Resistant Keyboard, Trusted Platform Module, Biometric Fingerprint reader and Toshiba Security Assist Console. Thus the Tecra M6 according to Toshiba maybe lightweight but is definitely not fragile and can withstand any dynamic environment.

The Toshiba Tecra M6 has a 12.1" Diagonal Widescreen XGA TruBrite™ display and can be configured according to individual preferences. One can for multitasking and greater performance opt for Centrino® Duo Mobile Technology by choosing right Intel® processor and the Intel® Wireless LAN option. It includes a DVD SuperMulti (+/-R double layer) drive which is able to read up to 11 formats! The notebook operates on Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional and comes with 256MB PC4200 DDR2 533MHz SDRAM.For a better graphical and visual performance Toshiba has also incorporated the Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950 with 8MB-128MB dynamically allocated shared graphics.
