Toshiba-TDP-T45U.jpg

Toshiba has once again raised the standard for projectors with the release of the TDP-T45U. It is a definite step up from the TDP-T40U model, and has some definite improvements. For example, the T40U had a brightness of 1,800 ANSI lumens, but the T45U has 2,500. Not only is the T45U an increase of brightness, but it a sleeker, curvaceous look with a black casing. Like its predecessor, the T45U has XGA 1024 X 768 resolution, and 2000:1 contrast ratio.

Inputs include two VGA (15 pin) terminals, a composite video terminal, and an s-video terminal. Even though the TDP-T45U looks like it would be great for a home theater, do not be fooled. It does not come with RCA, DVI, and HDMI connectors, and it does not do widescreen. You should probably not mix business with pleasure with this bad boy, which retails for $1,199 USD.
