Toshiba Dynabook Satellite P10 Notebook PCToshiba Japan unveiled the new Dynabook Satellite P10 160C/5 laptop, with seemingly entry-level features. With a Celeron M 380 processor (1.60GHz) and Radeon Xpress 200M graphics for a maximum XGA resolution (1024x768 pixels) on a 15" LCD. Memory takes a beating, with just 256MB on-board the P10.

Bundled with Windows XP Home Edition and wireless LAN, the Dynabook Satellite P10 is equipped with a 40GB hard drive and DVD/CD-RW combo. Integrated LAN and V.90 modem apart, the laptop features four USB 2.0 ports, a Type II PC card slot and S-video out.

Battery is not the best (only 1.5 hours on a full charge), so you are better off carrying the power adapter with this one. Weighing 2.8 kg, the laptop measures 331mm x 278mm x 35.8mm. Prices start at JPY 81,100 (US $700). A higher end model with 512MB RAM, 80GB hard drive, DVD super-multi drive and Windows XP Pro is available for JPY 137,600 (US $1,200). Shipping starts late August.
