toshiba1_01_k16.jpgToshiba has updated its Satellite line up and the chosen ones are the Toshiba Satellite K16, Satellite K11 and Satellite J61! All the notebooks offer Intel Core goodness and are available in a number of configurations ! These new notebooks are housed in shock-resistant casings and are ideal for all the road warriors out there!

The Toshiba Satellite K16 is more of a "business notebook" and includes the Windows XP Professional OS! Looks wise its identical to the Satellite K11, however thats where the similarity end! The K16 is quite a trooper which doesn't surprise us, given its targeted audience! Thus one comes across specs like 7200 or T5500 Core 2 Duo processors, 40GB hard drives, up to 2GB of RAM (512MB standard), and integrated WiFi!

The Toshiba Satellite K11 is for the average user and actually sports the dreaded Celeron processor! Thus this is how the spec sheet reads; 1.73 GHz M 430 processor, Radeon Xpress 200M graphics, 512MB RAM, a 40GB hard drive, and a CD-RW/DVD-ROM combo drive. Like the K16, the K11 is also equipped with a 115.4-inch WXGA display

Next in line is the Toshiba Satellite J61 which also seeks to be an affordable notebook and offer features like; 15.4-inch WXGA display, choice of Core Duo T2500 or Celeron M 430 processors, 512MB (up to 2GB) RAM, CD-RW/DVD-ROM combo drives and of course Wi-Fi. All three notebooks should see a december release in Japan and prices range from $1,500 to $2,300.
