Designer Yves Béhar has come up with a really funky design for a new Toshiba laptop. It's best described as a Red Transformer laptop. Why transformer you might ask? Well this 17 inch laptop can convert from a portable system to a desktop home entertainment PC.

The laptop comes in a silver/red chassis design and uses a sliding hinge attached to the back of the display to transform into a desktop PC. The screen itself is resting on the integrated speaker panel. Toshiba also includes a removeable remote control and keyboard.

It's great to see these new designs blur the distinction between portable systems and desktop systems - especially when it comes to home entertainment devices. Watch some multimedia content at home and then take the system with you when you travel. How cool is that. Via BIOS Magazine.
