Toshiba P100-ST9742 Satellite Gaming Laptop
Wow! what a week it has been so far for all the gaming buffs(including me)! Certainly the one that will be remembered for a long time. Well, first it was next generation console(PS3) madness dominating the headlines and sweeping the internet prior to its launch, then it was DELL which turned on the heat with the announcement of its quad-core XPS 710 desktop. And now its Toshiba's turn to leave us head-scratching! Perhaps icing on the cake one feels. Or is it?
Toshiba announced the latest addition to its gaming-specific notebook series, with the Toshiba Satellite P100-ST9742 featuring Intel Core 2 Duo processor, T7200. Besides the Dual core processor, the notebook boasts of a 17-inch diagonal wide screen display and features plenty of other goodies like NVidia's GeForce Go 7900 GTX card and 512 GDDR3 SDRAM VRAM. Phew! that's some serious graphics. This in turn is backed by a 2GB of DDR2 RAM. The secondary storage includes a 100GB, 7,200RPM hard drive, 5-in-1 card reader and DVD SuperDuperMulti drive.
On the connectivity side, the Toshiba P100-ST9742 notebook features three-flavor WiFi, Bluetooth, four USB 2.0 ports along with RGB, S-video, DVI, FireWire, S/PDIF, and both PCMCIA and ExpressCard slots. The notebook comes loaded with Genuine Windows XP Professional and is available in sunlight copper colour at a whopping price of $2,899.
