Toshiba Gigabeat P Toshiba has launched their new P series of Gigabeat MP3 players today. The P series are flash based MP3 players and sport 1.1" OLED color screens. There are two models to the initial P line of players - the P5 and the P10.

The P5 has 512MB of storage space while the P10 has 1GB of storage space. Both players measure 31.9x82.0x13.2mm and weigh only 50g. Other common features include:

  • Neck strap
  • FM Tuner
  • Voice and FM Recorder
  • 5 band equalizer
  • Sync and Charge via USB

The players definitely look cool but I have to wonder if anyone will actually care about them. Perhaps the Gigabeat will have a following in Japan but it's hard to see the P series making an impact in the US - especially against the nano. Both the P5 and the P10 will be available in December.
