Toshiba has launched a new set of gigabeat Portable Media Players and have tied up with content provides like Vongo, Napster, eMusic and RealNetworks' Rhapsody to keep the download crazy population happy. So not only will users able to take their music collection anywhere but can also download wide array of content from the above mentioned providers.

The new Toshiba players will be available in 30GB* and 60GB* capacities and will on the Windows Mobile(R) Portable Media Center Version 2.0 software. The player will appeal to those who want to escape from the iPod frenzy and want something different. Both the players will sport a 4" diagonally measured QVGA color screen with 320 x 240 resolutions, an intuitive interface and a FM Radio to access the radio waves. One can also transfer images from a compatible digicam to the player and the onboard TV Audio and Video output gives you the bigger picture (by that we mean you can hook it up to your TV).

Users looking for downloading full length movies can visit the vongo website and avail the Vongo service which lets you access 1,600 movie and video selections as well as a live, streaming Starz TV channel for a monthly cost of $9.99. For audiophiles there is Napster, eMusic and RealNetworks'(R) Rhapsody which gives a wider choice for audio formats. Thus step by Toshiba will be appreciated by all the audiophiles out there. The gigabeat PMC models are available now at $299.99 (30GB - MES30VW) and $399.99 (60GB - MES60VK) respectively.
