TomTom PLUS ServicesTomTom announced new and updated content and services designed to improve in-car navigation experience at the CeBIT in Hannover, Germany. The TomTom PLUS services builds on its portfolio, while TomTom HOME PC-based software allows consumers to manage their PLUS content and services at the convenience of their home.

TomTom HOME also simplifies the process of trip planning, downloading and managing TomTom PLUS content. Pre-planned routes, maps and navigation voices can be transferred onto TomTom GO.

Some of the newly introduced content/services include:

  • Audiobooks: now you can listen to books, newspapers or magazines
  • Buddies: locate and IM friends
  • Quick GPS Fix: determines your position faster than before
  • Safety Cameras: get info on the locations of Mobile Safety Cameras that track speed in Europe

In addition, Weather and Traffic/Road Conditions have been updated.
