POTC.jpgmDisney a mobile publishing subsidy of Walt Disney Internet Group has just announced its plans to adapt the Hollywood Blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean to a mobile gaming platform. This mobile game is aptly titled Pirates of the Caribbean Multiplayer and according to mDisney a cross-carrier, real-time multiplayer game which will thrill users around the word with its realistic approach and action packed story line. The game would be simultaneously released with the POTC sequel, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest on July 7, 2006.

During mid April users can access the beta version at the www.piratesmobilemultiplayer.com which allows up to 16 players at once to engage in game play and interact with each other. Very few details are out right now and Disney is tightlipped about the storyline too. However one assumes that it would be very similar to the sequel movie.
