The New Samsung GX-1L On Display At PMA
The new Samsung DSLR GX-1L is on display at PMA 2006 it is the second model developed by Samsung in conjunction with Pentax. An entry level camera this 6MP DSRL comes in a sleek compact package with legendary Schneider optics and interchangeable lens manufactured by both Pentax and Scheneider. Targeted at both beginners and advance users the GX-1L offers a wide array of features at a very competitive price.
This user friendly camera has a 2.5 inch bright LCD for easy indoor and outdoor viewing and a Pentaprism viewfinder with almost 95% field view. The GX-1L to produce great high resolution images includes features like Auto Sensitivity, Auto Picture Mode and a newly designed operation system. It also gives full rein to the photographer with its advance manual control system. It includes a five-point, wide-area Auto Focus system including-single or AF-continuous for greater control and quality and accurate auto focusing. There is an inventive Auto Picture mode which by design selects the suitable picture mode from Standard, Landscape, Macro or Action depending on the subject.8 scenes modes are also incorporated including Kids, Pets, Candlelight, Museum, Night Scene, Surf & Snow, Text and Sunset and several White Balance settings.
The GX-1L shoots up to eight frames per second in JPEG and up to five frames per second in RAW mode. It has a built-in retractable P-TTL auto pop-up flash which includes modes like Auto, Manual, Auto/Red-eye reduction, Manual/Red-eye reduction. The GX-1L is also extremely light weight and compact and run on AA-size Lithium, Ni-MH or CR-V3 batteries. Compatible with a host of lenses yet the GX-1L will be sold either with the Schneider D-XENON 18mm~55mm lens or just with the body. Built in memory can be expanded by upto 1GB with a SD Card and a host of accessories like filters etc can be purchased separate. Samsung PMA .
