The Bridge, an accessory for your iPod
Harman Kardon has announced their latest product titled The Bridge, an accessory for your iPod. The Bridge literally bridges the gap between your iPod, the definitive personal entertainment device and your home music system. It is compatible with any The Bridge-ready AVR 40 Series audio/video receivers.
You might also remember the iTrip, which allowed you to broadcast songs from your iPod over short-range FM radio, and you could listen to it on your car stereo. The Bridge takes this one step further, allowing the control to be at the receiver, so that you don't have to fiddle around with the iPod's smaller interface.
Once you set up your iPod with The Bridge, it becomes the sole point of control between the iPod and the receiver. It includes cool iPod capabilities like on-screen menus on TV or video display, allowing the user to operate the iPod via the receiver's remote control while at the same time charging the iPod.
