Tetra T-Pad Gets FCC Nod

French manufacturer Logic Instrument's Tetra T-Pad, a rugged mobile computer, has just been approved by the FCC. While it is not clear if (or when) the device will hit the USA, it is nonetheless an interesting device and we thought we should cover it.

Designed to withstand the harshest environmental conditions for the mobile worker, the T-pad features a full-color VGA LCD touchscreen and is powered by an Intel XScale PXA263 400MHz processor. The device supports both CF and SD slots for expanding the available memory (64MB) and features integrated Bluetooth. Weighing a hefty 600 grams, it can withstand temperatures from -20°C to +50°C (-4°F to +85°F).

Other features include:

  • Windows CE NET 4.2
  • 64MB ROM
  • 4" Active TFT 480x640 64k color screen
  • Backlight
  • Docking port

  • Tetra Computer
