If you are an Alltel customer, you have a reason to be happy. Thanks to TeleNav GPS Navigator, Alltel customers can experience navigational aid right on their cell phone. Initially available for BlackBerry 8703e and Samsung u520, you can get a bird's eye view of moving maps, vocal and on-screen directions.

In addition, you get directions to over 10 million business listings and even a pedestrian mode for use while walking. The turn-by-turn directions guide you to your destination, re-routing when required. You can also preview your route before starting.

The Biz Finder and Fuel Finder are useful apps to get the nearest Wi-Fi hotspots, ATMs and gas stations (including prices). There's also a Spot Marker that lets you keep track of where you've parked your car. I usually keep a reminder on my phone about where I have parked mine. Really.

The TeleNav GPS Navigator on Alltel wireless is available for US $9.99 per month or $2.99 for one-day use (available only on the Samsung u520).
