Most such clothing have reflective strips, but Bright Night included a built-in strobe-light Electro-Luminescence (EL) strip that virtually lights up the person wearing it, making him or her visible in complete darkness.

The strips don't add weight to the fabric - they are just 24 microns thick, highly flexible and durable as well.
