StorXtreme SX-25D Portable Storage Device
The StorXtreme SX-25D, a portable storage device from Singapore-based tech company Corbell International, will be making its US debut with a bang at the Consumer Electronics Show 2006 as one of its innovation honorees.
The device was initially launched in Europe last November but this is the first time it will make an appearance in the US market. The device provides an integrated external hard disk-based back up solution, multiple memory card reader and memory card backup utility.
The StorXtreme can read Compact Flash, MicroDrives, SD/MMC Cards, Memory Stick and Memory Stick Pro and allows users to transfer data directly to the hard disk to free up the memory card for further use. Later the files can be transferred to a PC via a regular USB cable (support for USB 2.0). Please note however that the hard disk is not included. Users will still need to purchase a 2.5" hard disk for this device. It will retail for about $90. Storxtreme.com
