widowpc_sting.jpgTexas based computer hardware company WidowPC (as in black widow) today announced the world's first dual-core notebook the Sting 917X2 a laptop that promises the same performance as a beefed-up desktop computer.

Dual-core processors as its name implies is basically two processors in one core, achieving double the clock speed. They're perfect for intensive tasks such as gaming, video editing and 3D rendering.

The computer runs on an AMD Athlon 64X 2 Dual Core processor, and a 256MB NVIDIA 7800 GTX graphics controller, it also features a 17" wide screen display, DVD-RW/R, WiFi, Bluetooth and even a TV tuner. It also has customizable options for RAM (up to 2GB DDR) and Hard Disk Space (it has room for two 120GB SATA drives).

Available immediately, the computer checks in at a whopping $3,447. WidowPC.com.
