Sprint and SANYO announced the new Sprint Power Vision phone MM-9000 from SANYO. The MM-9000 is a feature-packed phone from SANYO, which is also one of the first phones compatible with Sprint Music Store, the first mobile music storefront where you can buy full-length songs.
The MM-9000 includes an integrated MP3/AAC/AAC+ player, and thanks to the miniSD slot and USB cable connectivity, you can transfer files from your PC to the phone. The Sprint Music Store is another place where you can sample and wirelessly download full-length music. The phone is bundled with a 16MB miniSD card, but you can upgrade it up to 1GB.
The phone comes with an internal 2.1" TFT LCD at QVGA resolution (240x320), supporting 260k colors, and an external 1.1" 72x96 screen. It supports J2ME, so you can also download and play the latest and greatest 3D games. Thanks to EV-DO technology supported by the phone, you now have access to high-speed internet, enabling you to watch live streaming video as well, on Sprint TV Live service.
A 1.3 megapixel camera is provided, and it's capable of capturing videos up to 30 seconds in duration.
Available now with Sprint, the SANYO MM-9000 is priced at US $229.99, and can be ordered online at Sprint's website.
Quick access to the most commonly used functions - News, Sports, Weather, Money, Movies, Phone Directory, Maps, TV Guide and Dictionary - is provided through the On Demand application. For better personalization and relevancy, this service uses your ZIP code. The MM-9000 can be converted to a high-speed USB modem as well, so you can access the Internet in EV-DO covered areas.
