sotec2.jpgSotec Japan releases another new widescreen mobility notebook, DN8000 which boasts a 17-inch WXGA+ TFT LCD with highest supported resolutions of 1440 x 900, Intel 945GM Express chipset and Super multiple DVD drive. There are two available processor for the base configurations. You can get Celeron M 420 (1.60GHz) powered notebook with the price of 119,800Yen or Core Duo T2600 (2.16GHz) processor powered notebook with the price of 180,000Yen. The Celeron M configuration comes with 512MB RAM and 40GB HDD while Core Duo configurations includes 2GB of RAM and 160GB of hard disk capacity. It has a built-in Gigabit Ethernet LAN, Express Card slot, 4 USB 2.0 ports, S/PDIF output, eSATA, D-Sub 15 pin, IEEE1394 and IEEE 802.11b/g wireless connection. It also has a SD, MMC and Memory Stick (PRO) card reader. Upon fully charged battery, Celeron M could last up to 2.3 hours while Core Duo up to 2.9 hours. Sotec DN8000 weights about 3.7kg with the size of 394 x 287 x 39.
