Sony, today unveiled it's new dashing 4GB Memory Stick PRO Duo media card. With a whoopping 4GB capacity, it has the largest storage capacity of any Memory Stick flash media card on the market. Really! one can be easily fooled by its postage stamp-sized looks, but you can store all of their vacation photos and wedding videos, along with their favorite movies, music and even game-scores from a PlayStation Portable device.

The most striking thing about the new Memory Stick PRO Duo is that, it is half the weight of the conventional memory stick card and also one-third the size of the same. Talk of compatibility, this new media card goes with wide selection of currently available devices, including the PSP system, Sony's Cyber-Shot T Series and W Series cameras and Handycam camcorders. In addition Sony will be offering it's customers the luxury of an adapter with Memory Stick PRO Duo media cards, for devices with a standard-size Memory Stick media slot. It also offers the industry's highest durability with a standard operating temperature range of -13 F to +185 F. On the security side, it incorporates Sony's own MagicGate technology, a copyright protection, which allows for secure distribution of commercial content such as digital music and downloaded movies.

Apart from that, Sony also announced the Memory Stick file rescue service which helps recover certain files lost through accidental deletions or data loss. Customers now can access the free rescue service on the Sony customer support web site, esupport.sony.com and also can download recovery software.

The 4GB Memory Stick PRO Duo media card will be available in July for about $250 nationwide in Sony retail stores. Also it is available direct at www.sonystyle.com
