Sony Z550a Cell Phone

Another quad-band world phone from Sony Ericsson, the new Z550a also supports GPRS for accessing the net. Developed for the Americas, the phone is equipped with a 1.3 megapixel camera that offers 4x digital zoom.
The Z550a is graced with a 262k color display, and features a full HTML web browser. Like some of the other SE phones unveiled today, this also takes in Memory Stick Micro (M2) up to a maximum of 1GB. The integrated music player can handle MP3 and AAC files, and the phone also supports streaming audio/video (not that you can enjoy it a lot on a slow GPRS connection).
For blazing transfers, the Z550a features a USB 2.0 interface. Bluetooth is available for a wire-free life. You can use the phone to send SMS/MMS/EMS and even Email (POP and IMAP4 are supported). The external screen is a monochrome STN - nothing to write home about.
Pricing information is not yet available. The Sony Ericsson Z550a cell phone should hit the streets soon. Check out the extended entry for more features.
