Sony W850 Cell Phone Gets FCC nod

Sony Ericsson's W850 cell phone got the FCC's seal of approval, speeding its entry into the US market. The W850 is a 3G slider phone in the extremely popular Walkman series.

The phone comes with a 1GB Memory Stick Pro Duo - enough for nearly 1000 songs in eAAC+ format. When playing only music, SE claims a battery life of 30 hours.

Available in Precious Black (pictured) or Golden White, pricing is not yet announced. It looks like the Sony Ericsson W850 cell phone is delayed a bit (it was scheduled for a Q3 2006 release). Anyway, now that the FCC hurdle is cleared, it should hit the stores soon.
