Sony W710i Phone FCC Approved

Remember the Sony Ericsson W710i cell phone? Yeah, the same one designed for your sporty lifestyle (if sitting in front of your computer refreshing The Whack's website qualifies for a sporty lifestyle, that is). Well, it just got the nod from the almighty FCC.

Which basically means the W710 is on track for its Q3 2006 release. The phone takes in the Memory Stick Micro (M2), and comes with 512MB bundled. According to the manual, the Fitness app includes a step counter and measures laps and speeds.

Pricing is still not available. As usual, the Sony Ericsson W710 will be available in different flavors for the European and Mainland China markets.
