Sony Vaio fans can look forward to a new Vaio on the streets: the Sony Vaio VGN-SZ72B/B is the latest offering from Sony boasting top-of-the-line Intel Core 2 Duo T5600 processor (a 1.83GHz monster) and 1 gig of DDR2-533 memory.

The LCD is a petite 13.3" WXGA display with brilliant colors, driven by an Nvidia GeForce Go 7400 graphics card. The VGN-SZ72B/B includes integrated Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, and for notebook security, a biometric fingerprint sensor. A DVD Super-Multi drive takes care of your multimedia needs.

The Vaio also features a rather nice 3.1 megapixel webcam. Wireless connectivity is offered by the included 802.11 a/b/g capability. Two USB 2.0 ports and a FireWire port are available on the SZ72B/B.

Prices for the Sony Vaio VGN-SZ72B/B start at US $2047 and will be available starting September 9, 2006.
