Today Sony announced the 17” Sony VGN-BX570B Notebook, it is designed to unite the performance of a desktop PC, with the portability of a notebook computer.

Sony VGN-BX570B will be available at end of October, the price for it is unknown at the moment, the Sony's BX series starts at $1299.
