I don’t know if Sony has the record on this, but the VAIO G could be the lightest laptop on the market today. That’s right, 12.1 inch screen laptop is portable to-the-max, weighing in at a mere 1.98 pounds.

Just because it is light in weight doesn’t make it less of a system. It has an Intel Core Solo U1300 or U1400, 1.5GB of DDR2 RAM, 80GB HDD, a DVD burner, as well as Wi-Fi access. Other fun features are the pair of USB ports and the biometric fingerprint reader.

The Son VAIO G should be available in Japan sometime in January, at a price of $1,836.00. By the way, do you see how that guy in the picture is holding his laptop? I would never do that. I guess mine is too heavy, and fear that the laptop would somehow break off.
