Sony Electronics today introduced a Vaio C series line of slim notebooks in five hip colors, espresso black, spring green, blush pink, urban gray and finally seashell white, boasting of a slick lines and a chic design.

At 5 pounds, it is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and the notebooks are Windows Vista capable and Windows Vista Premium ready. Featuring a 13.3-inch widescreen display with Sony's original energy-saving XBRITE-ECO LCD technology and an onboard DVD+/-R Double Layer/DVD+/-RW/-RAM drive, it can serve you as a home theater away from home. With an extensive suite of multimedia tools for easy backup of data, photos, music and videos including DVgatePlus and Click to DVD software, you can create, manage your own customized DVDs.

On the connectivity side, the C series features integrated 802.11a/b/g wireless LAN that lets you connect at any hotspots and wireless networks. It also includes Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick Pro or ExpressCard media slots and i.LINK (IEEE 802.11) or USB ports.

Initially VAIO C Series notebooks in espresso black and urban gray will be available at the end of October at national retailers starting at about $1,350. The exclusive colors of seashell white, blush pink and spring green will be available in November online at www.sonystyle.com or at Sony Style stores.
