Sony Vaio C15 is very budget friendly

The problem with Sony Vaios is that they burn a small hole in your pocket. No, I'm not talking about faulty batteries, but the steep prices. Well, the budget-conscious can now look forward to the new Sony Vaio C15.

Recently announced in Taiwan, the C15 features a nice 13.3" screen and is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 1.66GHz processor. It's low on RAM (only 512MB), but at least Sony managed to put in an Nvidia GeForce 7400 graphics card on this one.

Other essentials on the Vaio C15 include an 80 gig hard drive, a Memory Stick reader (but what else?) and a claimed battery life of 4 hours. It carries a price tag of NT $39,800 (approximately US $1,200) and, although a bit heavy at 5 pounds, is definitely easy on the wallet.
