Sony Manufacturing Systems (SMS), a head honcho in technological innovation and the world's largest producer of precision measurement and positioning tools, machinery and scientific apparatuses seeks to bring forth their latest model Sony SI-G200 Cellular Mounter this year. It is said that the company will begin accepting orders this month, and the first consignment is expected to get dispatched in November 2007.
For the Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Sony Manufacturing Systems America, Inc. (SMSA) has launched its next-generation cellular mounter that will be put up for exhibition for the first time at at JISSO PROTEC 2006 in Tokyo in the forthcoming week (w.e.f. October 5, 2006).
“When production targets are increased, it is essential for companies to maximize existing production floor space for the best output,†said Koh Nakata, president and CEO for SMSA. “The new SI-G200 mounter is engineered to improve placement capacity by using the existing machine platform without increasing production floor space.â€
“This added advantage will offer our customers a competitive edge in the market place,†added Nakata. “Two trays are supported by 15 cassettes in each tray unit, and when the tray unit is installed on the back of the machine, 17 cassette positions remain available for use.â€
There are two models of Sony SI-G200 namely: Model: SI-G200 (Multi-Purpose Head + Multi-Purpose Head) and Model: SI-G200 (High-Speed Head + High-Speed Head). So you get a higher mounting speed and precision. The model supports multi-purpose mounting with one machine only.
New Moderl of Cellular Mounter is capable of dual mounting heads in one platform and can generate output performance at 45,000 CPH and high placement precision of 45μ @ 3σ.
SI-G200 mounter is standardized for minimal maintenance and has thrice times capacity than the previous models. So there is an increase in efficiency and reduction in the cost. With lowest power consumption, SI-G200 has the highest llevel of CPH I.E. 20,000.
