Sony MZ-M10 Hi-MD MiniDisc-based Recorders
Sony announced the new MZ-M10 Hi-MD MiniDisc-based portable recorder, designed for musicians and broadcast professionals, providing extremely clear sound recording and playback capabilities with the added advantage of extensive storage capacity.
The key lies in the MZ-M10's ability to record and play back high-quality uncompressed PCM linear audio, while transfering them directly to a PC for editing cuts down a lot of time. The MZ-M10 also comes with a large, easy-to-use 5-line LCD display increasing the usability of the product in the real world.
The MZ-M10 recorder comes with a removable Hi-MD MiniDisc of 1 GB capacity, allowing the user to record 94 minutes of uncompressed audio, and as much as 34 hours in ATRAC3 plus format. The Hi-MD media itself is very cost effective at around US $7. A USB port is provided for connectivity to either a PC or Mac.
Priced at US $329.95, more info about the Sony MZ-M10 Hi-MD portable recorder is available at Sony's website.
