Yesterday in San Diego, Sony announced the high-fidelity portable 80KhZ stereo headphones, to experience high quality sound while home or on the go. ALTUS.

The Altus headphones are made with an aluminum ear cup, ear and head cushioning and a single-sided cord with a headband that sits tight, to enhance quality of sound. The ear phones are positioned at an angle parallel to the human ear, delivering more natural sound and come with an ambient sound-in switch control. When open, outside sound is allowed in, convenient when walking on city streets. When closed, sound remains fixed, delivering concentrated high-quality audio.

Sturdy yet compact, the headphones can be folded up into the included drawstring pouch, while in transit.

The Altus headphones will be available for purchase at Sony Style stores and major national retailers in November for about $150. Preorder is possible off the www.sonystyle.com/altus site.
