Sony ICD-U70 Digital Voice RecorderBad memory? Got into trouble with the boss because you forgot that one important thing from the meeting? Sony has the perfect solution (and I am pretty sure they had me in mind when they designed this thing): the new ICD-U70 Voice Plus digital voice recorder.

The Sony ICD-U70 is an advanced voice recording solution that doubles up as an MP3 player with seemingly oodles of memory, as well as a backup storage device similar to the ubiquitous USB flash drive. With 1GB of storage available, the device can record more than 500 hours of voice-quality audio (in LP mode, of course).

A USB contraption, the ICD- U70 connects to your PC via a high-speed USB 2.0 interface. It offers three recording modes that allow you to choose between quality and quantity.

Priced at US $180, the Sony ICD-U70 Voice Plus Digital Voice Recorder will be available this Spring. You should be able to order it soon from SonyStyle.

Sony ICD-U70 Digital Voice Recorder Features Include:

  • "Voice Plus" digital voice recorder
  • Advanced voice/MP3/storage all-in-one solution.
  • Up to 1 GB and up to 502 hours of voice recording time in LP mode as well as the ability to play back MP3s.
  • USB compatible for high-speed file transfer to a PC
  • Three separate recording modes
