Sony Ericsson GC85 EDGE PC CardSony Ericsson have unveiled the brand new GC86 EDGE PC card, a quad-band, cost-effective solution for notebook users. 3G may be a bit far off in several markets, but EDGE is here - and untapped. No wonder Sony Ericsson decided to bring this one out.

Succeeding the GC85, the GC86 ensures that you are able to get online whenever you are in a compatible area around the globe. The good part about using any PC card is that you don't have to mess around with a cell phone's data cables or use Bluetooth to get online, draining the mobile's battery.

With a sleek integrated antenna, you can get speeds up to 247 kbps (depending on the network). An optional external antenna is also available for better reception. Bundled software includes Wireless Manager (PC only), with an SMS application built-in.

No pricing is available at the moment, as the device is slated to release in Q3 2006. Sony Ericsson.
