Sony plans to add some color and zing in our drab existence by launching the FJ290 series of laptops. That’s a little too much color for me, but hey each to its own. The notebooks come with 5 different avatars including Pink Feather, Orange Flower, Green Flower, Orange Burst, and Blue Burst. The notebook can be configured according to your needs and the basic configuration goes like this; 14.1-inch WXGA display, Intel Pentium Celeron (or M) processor, 512MB of RAM, 40GB hard drive, DVD+R dual-layer burner, built-in webcam, and 802.11b/g. It’s available now and for the basic configuration you have to shell out about $1,449.
