Sony Ericsson Z558 Phone
If it was Nokia the other day making you drool over some of its latest phones, it's Sony Ericsson's turn now. SE unleashed a bevy of beauties today, starting with the Sony Ericsson Z558 cell phone. The Z558 is Sony Ericsson's first non-Symbian phone to offer a touch screen and stylus interface.
Available in a sleek brushed metal and high gloss design, the Sony Ericsson Z558 comes with a bright 262k color touch screen. The phone is equipped with a basic 1.3 megapixel camera, and has 18MB of on-board memory. You can upgrade the memory to 1GB, although the type of memory card supported has not been revealed.
With a USB connection, you cah quickly transfer files from your PC and synchronize your contacts and calendar. The touch screen interface makes it simple to input complex languages like Chinese.
The Sony Ericsson Z558 cell phone will be available starting October 2006 in Expresso Black. Two versions will be offered, the Z558c for mainland China and the Z558i for other markets. No word yet on the pricing, though.
