Sony Ericsson has launched the new Z300 mobile phone in a clamshell design with changeable Style-Up front and back covers, and is available in two stylish colors: granite grey and amethyst purple.

It comes with WAP 1.2.1 support and sports a 128x128 pixel 65k color display. It also supports both text and picture messaging. Expect it to be a hit with people looking for a clamshell phone with a decent feature set.

The Z300 sports a clock on the outside, which is also capable of displaying caller ID. Standard applications include phonebook, alarm clock. to-do list and calendar.
