Riding on the success of walkman phone range, SonyEricsson, in the quest to stamp its authority in the market has announced yet another walkman phone, this time though its UMTS enabled Sony Ericsson W850. The W850 is company's first ever GSM/UMTS ‘slider’ phone. The phone will be available to consumers in precious black or Golden White.

The very first thing you would notice about this UMTS 2100 and Tri-band GPRS (900/1800/1900) Walkman slider phone is the heartbeat illumination feature to to light-up the control keys in rhythm with your music. THis phone is just not all about those stunning and jaw dropping looks, it has much to offer in terms of features and performance. WIth 1GB memory stick PRO Duo up tour sleev is sufficient to have more than 100 songs and that is in +AAC format. It also can be exapnded upto a whopping 4GB for storage of larger music collection and other appliacations.

The Sony Ericsson W850 also comes with a 2 MegaPixel camera, which is absolute fun wherein you can take pictures videos and share it with your pals and also with the phone now boasting of UMTS capbalities you can even use your W850 to create and maintain blogsites. Apart from that it features a The Walkman player 2.0, which simplifies navigation through music genres, playlists, individual songs or music albums and there’s also a TrackID feature, with which you can record a few seconds of a song, either via the microphone or the in built FM radio, and then with one click send that clip to the Gracenote® worldwide music database which will identify the track and relay the information back to the phone.
